Homeopathic Injection Therapy

Homeopathy is a medical science developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843), a German physician. It is an alternative form of medicine which is unlike traditional allopathic medicine. Instead of treating a condition with a medication that suppresses the symptoms, homeopathy is based on the premise that “like cures like”. This literally translates to any substance which can produce symptoms in a healthy person, can cure similar symptoms in a person who is sick. The premise of this idea as the “The Law of Similars” has been philosophized by Aristotle, Hippocrates and described in the ancient Hindu manuscripts.

Bipouncture is the art of injecting these Homeopathic solutions focused against inflammation and pain into trigger points and joints. Trigger points are localized areas of increased tension from tense muscle fibers. The knots can cause stiffness, spasms, and severe pain. They are also capable of causing pain in other locations of the body which is known as referred pain.

Trigger points and joint pain can be effectively treated with homeopathic injection therapy which helps the body to naturally heal and repair itself. It offers a more holistic method of healing, which can not just suppress the symptoms, but heal the cause of the symptoms with the body’s own response.

Homeopathic injection therapy protocol may be used alone or in conjunction with other traditional pain remedies. There are no known side effects of homeopathic remedies. During the procedure, Dr. Desai can combine the homeopathic injection with lidocaine.  Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that helps to offer immediate pain relief as well as localize the trigger point. The procedure uses ethyl chloride cold spray which freezes the skin, in order to eliminate sensation of the needle entry.
